Hello hello. I hope this Thursday finds you all well. I had a pretty uneventful day off. Almost nothing went as planned, starting with the husband waking up sick. Poor guy. I shoved him back to bed with a cup of peppermint tea and we scrapped most of our plans for the day. A few good things happened today, though. I went to the gym where I scored a free training session totally unexpectedly. I had lunch with a friend AND I bought a new purse. (I was way overdue.)
Last but not least – it’s still THEME WEEK. Been rockin’ the monochrome this week and today is day five. Green anyone?
I’m not sure how I like this one. Green is yet another color that I love but don’t own much of. I suspect that will change this fall. Green is cropping up a lot more. I predict a good season for acquiring green things. But in the meantime, I had to improvise. Green was a bit harder than I thought. Although it blends well, it’s hard to work the monochrome angle without looking like a leprechaun. After a few unsuccessful combos I settled on this.
Somewhat of a departure from my normal silhouette but a fine look for a day like today where everything is casual and summer feels like it’s slipping away. I look like a gypsy pirate and I figure better that, than a leprechaun. Any excuse to wear a head scarf. Even if the husband does refer to me as “ninja” when I wear one. I’m fine with being a ninja, though. And a gypsy pirate, and even a leprechaun. A combo like that? Why they’ll never get ahold of me Lucky Charms.

This is truly beautiful! I want those shoes!!!
I wish I could see more of the shoes. They look super cute. I love the whole look.
Ooh I’m not sure about this one. It’s a cute look and don’t get me wrong, you look beautiful, but it’s a wee bit leprechaun for me! x
Green is one of my favorite colors to wear – mostly because it matches my eyes. I’m glad that it’s ‘in’ this season.
LOVE those shoes btw!
Yes, this is very green for me. My two favorite items is the scarf and the shoes. I, too, wish I could see them a bit more up close. Again, I love the greenery all around you.
I will miss seeing the pictures and commenting for the next couple days. I am off to rough it for the weekend in the mountains and will not have access to internet through a computer. I will, however, have my handy dandy Blackberry and can read your blog. It will not allow me to see your pictures and it is truly a pain in the ass to try to respond. Which I wouldn’t want to do anyway, cuz I can’t see the pictures! I will be anxious to catch up and respond on Sunday afternoon.
I hope everyone has a safe and fabulous holiday weekend. I know I’m going to!!
I LOVE that skirt. And those shoes.
I was just going to get up and open another thing of M&Ms but then I saw you in this skirt and it’s motivating me to not negate my workout this morning quite as much. So…thanks?
I’m really digging this theme week, and I love the shape of the green skirt and super cute shoes.
“Lucky charms” comment- more LOLing! Too funny. Be happy at least you don’t look like Kermit the Frog.
I LOVE greens and I love this combo too!
