Hello ladies and gents? How does Monday find you? I’m not gonna lie, I’m off to a crappy start to my week but I think it’s just the time of year. Late January to February is one of my least favorite times of the year. It’s cold and it’s cursed and nothing good every happens. Well. Except for one thing…

My apologies if you clicked on the link yesterday and had any issues. I made the awesome mistake of misspelling my link. It should all be well now. And that will teach me not to blog hastily while also exhausted. Hooray. But now that’s corrected, we can continue on with our theme week. All week I’m bringing you my new blog and unveiling it just a bit at a time. Today, if you click the link you’ll find one more page up and in tact. It’s still not much but you’ll see more as the week goes on. And anyway. Today is giveaway day (more on that in a bit) so I figured you’re more apt to want to hear about that. Carry on, we shall.

As you may recall, I’m busting out some of my favorite dresses for this theme week, in honor of my new baby. Some I’ll be styling up in new and different ways but today’s number turned out to be kind of a bust for remixing. As it turns out, this dress really only works with a few items of mine and this is the same exact way that I styled it back last year. Oh well, I still think it’s fun and cute. Despite how absolutely ratty this thing is (it came that way, thrifted), I still can’t get over the fun ties. Once secured and in place, with some accessories to build upon it, it actually cleans up quite nicely.

We’ll make this quick, because it’s late. Just a couple of quickie announcements and acknowledgements.

First, thanks very very much to Apryl, The 365 Day Girl for doing a feature on me at her blog. I find her 365 day challenge to master social media incredibly inspiring, so I was flattered to be a part of her blog. Thanks Apryl! And also to Looks and Books for making me their look of the week.

I was even tagged by the lovely gals at Chicfaced to do another 10 Happy Things list. I did one back in February but I don’t mind making another by any means. Here’s why: 1. Exciting week! How was yours?

 Yeah. So it was kinda windy today. Otherwise it might have actually been springy. And so we wait.

Likewise, the outfit is pretty easy breezy today. It’s been a long week and dresses have become my go-to comfort item of choice. This dress probably belongs more to the fall, but um… I’m not that patient. I decided that a chilly day was cause enough to wear it. I think I only paid about $3 for this dress in a Goodwill haul and initially thought it kind of blah. But I saw potential in the fun print and the crazy sash. The sash is long enough that it could be worn a number of ways. Bonus points, for making my windy photo shoot slightly more fun. Come to think of it, the more I wore this dress today, the more I fell in love with it.

I’ll be hitting the ground running tomorrow with my birthday theme week. Be there or be square. Did I really just write that? Man. It has been a long week.
