I have a newsflash for you guys: Sewing is hard.
This may not be news to some of you, but it’s all I have to offer. I spent the majority of my day on the big sewing project – AKA Outfit #365 and I am fried. Apologies in advance for the hot mess below. Because while we did make tremendous progress on the last blogging garment, I’m afraid my daily posting duties escaped me until very last minute. I wore some grungies for most of the morning and then changed into an “outfit” just as the sun was going down. Which also resulted in some rather lackluster backdrop utilization as you’ll see in a moment.
That said, I am very excited to report that my final piece is about half-finished and looking spectacular in the making. Hopefully its fantabulousness will be enough to compensate for some…ahem…less than stellar days along the way.
I would like to think that Hello Kitty footie socks redeem all. At least that’s what I am telling myself since I have invested in about four pairs of these, for the winter, in various shades. They are comfy and adorable and they keep my feet warm when they might be otherwise freezing. They are pretty much my favorite thing ever.
Otherwise, I got nuttin’. It’s been a long day. I didn’t get everything done that I wanted to but I am proud to say that I joined the ranks of the DIY mavens today, and did not sew a finger to a foot or anything. Granted, I had a lot of help, but a work in progress is better than a total disaster in my book. Maybe one of these days I’ll be able to blog AND sew in the same day!
Check you with a better blog/outfit tomorrow. Enjoy your evening!

Your progress on the dress was great and I agree it will be fabulous. The “grungies” you had on yesterday would have been a fine outfit for the blog since you are pretty in any old thing. Love Ya!

You are so hard on yourself with this blog. You are a beautiful lady and your daily dress whether low-key or not beats my daily dress every day! I cannot wait to see what you are making. And YES, sewing is a big pain in the ass! Sorry for being so blunt, but I am not a patient person and you have to be when sewing. My grandmother and mother could sew so beautifully (mom still does), but I did not follow that path. Good luck with finishing it. I’m sure it will be grand.
