Hello all. How are things in your part of the world?
I know how to describe things up round here. And I only need one word – FREEZING. See also: Bitter. Frigid. Mind-numbingly cold. Okay that was three words. But seriously? It’s all that’s on my mind right now. I have spent a good part of my day devising any ways I can to warm up and nothing is work. Three cups of coffee, an intense cardio workout, a hot shower, wearing gloves indoors. Nothing. I’m still a human popsicle.
The only things I have yet to try are starting a bonfire in my bedroom and drinking hot lava. Other than that, I got nothing. I open the floor to you guys? How’s the thermostat where you live? And if it’s above sub-zero…may I come visit?
After many many days of this never-ending cold spell (Really November? Really?) I will say I’ve become more nervy in my dressing. One cannot stay buried under pants and layers all day every day. Or really, I could but that would get très boring for you guys, would in not. And anyway, I had a hankering for another skirt day. Particularly this fun printed one.
The last time I wore this skirt, it was significantly springier. But one thing that I’ve kept the same is the simplicity of the pairings. With such a lovely pattern on the skirt, I’d hate to get too busy with other bells and whistles and draw attention from its awesomeness. Therefore, I stuck to a pretty simple styling and I am happy with it. And ordinarily, I don’t think I’d envision this skirt with boots, but if there is one upside to The Big Chill, it’s that it forced me outside of my comfort zone and led me to something new. So there’s that, I guess.
Tomorrow I got some fleece-lined leggings I’m fixin’ to bust out. For serious. Fleece! Lined! Leggings. I’ll see you there.
