The Rules

So here is how it’s going to work. I am going to wear a different outfit every day. For a year. Why? Because I wanted to. Because I wanted to challenge my own creative prowess where dressing myself is concerned. Because I love fashion and blogs and fashion blogs and I wanted one of my own. Because I have nothing better to do. How, will I do this? Well, first I’m going to get out of bed every morning and get dressed. Then I’m going to take a picture of it and post it on here. Along with pithy observations about my daily life. I feel there aren’t enough pithy observations about life on the internet. I’m here to help fill the void.

I’ll be honest. I’m not sure how easy or difficult it will be to actually come up with 365 different outfits. I’m about to find out. I’ll let you know how it goes. In order to make things go as smoothly as possible, here are a few ground rules:

*There is no exact science behind what constitutes a “different outfit.” As a general rule, I’ll try to mix up the combinations as much as humanly possible. No fair changing my shirt and calling it different.

*I have a pretty good memory for these things, but to help ensure that I’m not repeating myself, I tag the items of clothing in each photo and refer back. You can also compare thumbnails of each day on this page for visual reference.

*I’m allowed to shop, but only minimally.  I’m  aiming to spend no more than $100 a month including other appearance related goodies (makeup, haircuts, etc.)

*Although I may brainstorm outfits in advance, I wear the outfits for the majority of the actual day and take a picture that very day to post. Barring major internet or camera problems, a new picture is posted daily.

*Entry titles are song lyrics, because dates would just be boring
